Welcome to the Saskatchewan Crown Attorneys’ Association website.
The Saskatchewan Crown Attorneys’ Association represents the interests of Crown Prosecutors employed by the Ministry of Justice.
The role of a Crown Prosecutor is often one of mystery to many members of the public.
Nevertheless, the citizens of our province look to us as their representatives, a role I know each one of us takes very seriously. There are daily challenges we all face when dealing with our cases. I envision the role of SCAA as addressing these so we may each represent the interests of the public to the best of our abilities.
The Law Society has recently introduced a mandatory Continuing Legal Education system. All
members are required to obtain at least 36 credit hours within a three year period. I also see a large component of SCAA as ensuring our members are given the opportunity to obtain many of their credits through SCAA educational programs. I hope to see our association increasing the opportunities for continuing education that are otherwise not readily available for the Criminal Bar.
I am proud to be the voice of persons whom I have always perceived as some of the most
professional and respected members of our bar. I encourage all members of SCAA to feel free to call, email, or discuss with me, or any member of the Executive, any issue of concern.
